The Day We Bought Alaska
March 30, 2019
Wayyyyyy back before gold was discovered in the Klondike in 1896, Alaska was purchased from Russia on this day in 1867 for $7.2 million (though it wouldn't become a state until 1959). At the time, it was known as 'Seward's Folly' because some people opposed the efforts of U.S. Secretary of State William H. Seward to purchase it. Side note: despite how it is depicted on maps, Alaska is actually the size of Texas, California, and Montana combined! In honor of this legendary day, we're suggesting Blue City Snow Concentrate from Sky Standard Gardens, 72.3% THC, 1G $30
