Today is the 103rd Running of the Indianapolis 500 which began in 1911. That year, Ray Harroun drove his single-seater Marmon Wasp across the finish line. The Marmon Wasp looks a lot like a go-cart compared to today's Indy cars. The photo shown is from the second running of the race in 1912.
