National Paperclip Day?
May 29, 2019
This day is for every lonely, misplaced paperclip hanging out in drawers and elsewhere. Samuel B. Fay received a patent for the paperclip in 1867.
This random sounding national day to honor little bent wires actually has a deeper meaning than anyone would have guessed. During World War II many Norwegians wore the paperclip on coat lapels as a sign of resistance to Nazi occupation.
