Whether you're a fan or not, The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a cult classic. Released on this day in 1975, the movie centers on a young engaged couple who's car breaks down near a castle where they try to find a telephone to call for help. The castle ends up being occupied by strangers celebrating an annual convention. The couple discovers the head of the house is Dr. Frank N. Furter, a mad scientist who actually is an alien transvestite who creates a living muscle man in his laboratory. The couple are seduced separately by the mad scientist and eventually released by the servants who take control.
Like most cult classics, it's full of memorable songs like "The Time Warp."
