On this day in 1963, Dr. Martin Luther King gave his famous “I Have a Dream” speech in Washington D.C. In from of a crowd of nearly 250,000, Dr. King’s pivotal speech helped bring the Civil Rights Movement to the forefront and eventually led Congress to pass the Civil Rights Act the following year. Even now, Dr. King’s speech continues to resonate as one of the most influential moments in history.
